Robert Michael Wynn was born in St. Louis, MO on Jan. 24, 1947. He graduated from Cahokia High School in Illinois in 1965 and began his college education at the SIU (Southern Illinois University.)
Robert joined the US Army in 1966 and completed four-year enlistment after basic training as a Military Policemen. He served one duty tour in Vietnam. He joined the Alexandria City Police Department after his honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant E-5.
The author completed his college education at The American University in Washington, DC with an Associate's Degree in The Administration of Justice, and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in The School of Justice. Robert retired from the Alexandria Police Department after completing 34 years of service at the rank of patrol sergeant. He began his police career as a Uniform Patrol Officer, Master Police Officer, Youth Investigator, Police Corporal and Uniform Patrol Sergeant.
