Every person's experience is unique. Most times, we just keep it to ourselves. Sometimes, we write a book about it. “My Divine Gift: More than a healing story, it's a life-changing testimony!” is an autobiographical work of Barbaro Baez Alvarez, divided into two sections: One, his experiences with God; two, his experiences of moving across countries and being diagnosed with a bipolar disorder.

Barbaro Baez Alvarez is a Cuban who has been living in the United States since 2002. He obtained a degree of master of arts in visual communication at Hodges University and has been working for NAMI Collier County since 2013. In the hopes of allowing people to understand life much better through sharing his experiences as a young man, Barbaro has written a book that not only tackles his personal accounts as an immigrant and a mental health patient, but also his life-changing testimony that focuses on his relationship with God, his search for purpose, and his understanding on the meaning of life, which many would find relatable and enlightening, even.

Meanwhile, in the second book, he openly talks about his struggles and the circumstances that led him to acquiring a mental illness. Nevertheless, his book does promote hope as he humbly let the readers learn about his happy marriage and fatherhood, proving that he, and all the other people diagnosed with the same disorder, can live a normal, joyful life.

Filled with genuineness and dedication, this book will open your minds and your hearts to the insights that Barbaro provides on mental health and his own spiritual experiences.
